SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Sulaimani authorities destroyed twenty-four thousand hand watches batteries on Monday due to exceeding the expiry date.
Batteries contain chemicals and require to be destroyed in specific places far from residential areas through scientific procedures, according to Rekan Jamal, committee head from Sulaimani local office.
“Tweenty-four thousand hand watches batteries expired were destroyed in Sulaimani’s Tanjaro area inside special ovens,” He said.
The batteries belonged to a local trader. He warned authorities to come and destroy them.
