SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Kurdistan Region Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani on Tuesday received Russian Consul General Maxsm Rubin and stressed dialogue to resolve the internal disagreements.
The Deputy Prime Minister and the Russian diplomat discussed the Kurdistan Region’s internal situation, said the press office of Talabani in a statement.
“Both sides agreed that the political parties must resolve the disagreements through dialogue,” the statement said.
They also stressed that the disagreements should not affect the people’s livelihood according to the statement.
Discussions also touched upon the relationships between Erbil and Baghdad.
“Baghdad is the strategic depth of the Kurdistan Region,” the Deputy Prime Minister said.
“Our all efforts aim to fundamentally address the disputes with Baghdad in the frame of the constitution.”
The Deputy Prime Minister further noted that both the people of Kurdistan and Iraq need more stability to foster the services and economy.
