SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Turkish army has increased its military surveillance in the Bradost area of Erbil province, targeting Kurdish villagers with random gunfire, according to locals.
The Turkish armed forces have been widely deployed in the Bradost area, installing surveillance cameras inside the woods, a villager living in the area told Esta Media Network on Sunday.
“The Turkish army monitoring the local residents with the surveillance cameras which have been fixed inside the woods,” according to local villagers.
They also stated that despite establishing a high-surveillance zone in the area, the Turkish armed forces on the daily basis target the Kurdish villagers with random gunfire, causing harm to the local civilians.
This situation coincides with frequent airstrikes by the Turkish army to target the suspected positions of the Kurdish militants who maintain bases in the Kurdistan Region.
Local officials have yet to comment on the situation that alleges the Turkish army for targeting Kurdish locals.
