Six suspects were arrested in Sulaimani over terrorism charges, says Iraqi security

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The General Directorate of Iraqi security and intelligence announced the arrest of six suspects in Sulaimani on terrorism charges on Thursday.

At least six suspects were arrested following a “series” of activities of the Iraqi forces from the ministry of defense over terrorism charges, it said in a statement.

Sulaimani security forces coordinated the Iraqi forces to arrest the suspects, it added.

“The suspects are charged with article four of terrorism over conducting terrorism between 2014 to 2016,” according to the statement.

It also added, “The suspects are involved in acts of blasting schools and bomb planting to target citizens and the security forces.”
