SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Sulaimani local security forces (Asayish) have caught a terrorist as a fugitive on the Iraqi forces’ wanted list, the Directorate of the security forces announced on Sunday.
The terrorist was known as Omar Wahid Khazraji. He had escaped twice from the hand of the Iraqi forces, it said in a statement.
The arrested terrorist was charged with terror and abducting a Baghdad-based Christian citizen, according to the statement.
Asayish further stated that he was arrested after attempting to infiltrate Sulaimani province when the security forces received a report.
The terrorist has been apprehended in an operation of Asayish based on intelligence information in coordination with the Directorate of the Sharazour Security forces.
