SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Four people faced life sentences by an Iraqi court on Sunday charged with carrying out a rocket attack on Baghdad international airport.
Earlier this year a rocket attack was carried out on the Baghdad airport resulting in damaging two planes as well as several international coalition institutions stationed inside the airport.
Following the attack, the security forces arrested several suspects, and they ended up facing life sentences on Sunday after Baghdad’s Karkh criminal court issued the decision.
“The Karkh criminal court decided to impose life sentence over four convicts charged by carrying out a rocket attack on Baghdad international airport on January 28, 2022,” the court said.
