Turkish Bamarni’s military base in Duhok came under rocket attack – reporter

SULAIMANI (ESTA) —  Turkish military base Duhok’s Bamarni came under rocket attack on Monday according to Esta Media Network reporter.

Earlier this morning Bamarni’s Turkish military base in Duhok came under rocket attack, however, it did not cause any casualties, but fire emerged around the woods where a rocket was landed, the reporter said.

No group has claimed the responsibility for the attack so far.

Targeting the Turkish bases stationed in Iraq has increased recently by the Shia militia groups.

The attack’s objectives are retaliation for a deadly bombing carried out by Turkey, targeting a touristic site in Duhok’s Zakho killing and injuring 34 Arab civilians.

Earlier on Wednesday’s pre-dawn, The Turkish general consulate in Mosul came under rocket attack by a Shia militia group that called themselves Saraya al-Ababil.

Ababil militia group later said it was an act of vengeance for Turkey’s deadly bombing.
