Turkey’s attack on Snune ‘should not be left without response’ says MP

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Turkey’s attack on Snune town should not be left without a response, said a member of the Iraqi parliament on Thursday.

Head of Security and Defense Committee in the Iraqi Council of Representatives Khalid al-Obeidi said the Turkish airstrike on Sinjar violated Iraq’s sovereignty and thus devalue the state in the eyes of its people.

Obeidi stressed that the attack should not be left without a response and there must be a limit to Turkey’s continuity in targeting Iraqi citizens and breaching its sovereignty.

On Wednesday the Turkish warplanes bombed  Sinjar Resistance Units (YBS) base in northern Sinjar, Snune town leaving the Mayor’s building destroyed, according to acting mayor of the town Khudaida Chuke.
