SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Jordan’s King Abdullah II hosted leaders from Iraq, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates on Friday for “consultive talks”, according to Jordanian media.
Jordan’s state television reports that the meeting between King Abdulla II, Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan, and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi was held in the Red Sea port city of Aqaba on Friday.
The meeting was “consultive”, according to the state television said.
AFP cited an official source as saying that the “consultive brotherly meeting dealt with recent international and regional developments”.
The royal court said in a statement that others attended the meeting included Jordan’s Crown Prince Hussein and Saudi Minister of State Prince Turki bin Mohammad bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz.
The meeting comes just a day before U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken visits Israel, the West Bank, Morocco and Algeria to discuss the Ukraine war, Israeli-Palestinian relations and Iran.
