SULAIMANI (ESTA) — A policeman was killed and five others including an officer were wounded in fighting against a suspect in Erbil city early on Monday, Esta Media Network reporter said.
The reporter in Erbil said a suspect opened fire at police as they were trying to detain him in the neighborhood of Adala in the city.
A policeman was killed and five others including director of Erbil police intra-city Izadin were wounded during confrontation with the suspect, the reporter added.
People with knowledge with the incident said the policeman who was killed was son of the Erbil police intra-city director. Esta Media Network could not confirm it.
