SULAIMANI (ESTA) — A delegation from the autonomous administration of North and East Syria met with Russian officials in Moscow on Wednesday, according to the council.
The delegation led by Ilham Ahmed was officially invited to visit Russia by the Russian foreign ministry, the Syrian Democratic Council said in a statement.
It held a meeting with representatives of the Russian foreign ministry in Moscow on Wednesday, the MSD said.
“The meeting was positive,” the MSD stated.
They stressed on political solution to the Syrian crisis in accordance with U.N. resolution 2254, the statement read.
The Kurdish delegation discussed the “ongoing violations” carried out by Turkey in Syrian, according to the statement.
“The Syrian Democratic Council seeks to hold intensive meetings with various international actors, mainly about the Syrian issue, with the aim of searching for opportunities to end the conflict and start a transitional phase towards the political solution that must lead to a lasting and stable peace,” it said.
