Kurdistan Region records 860 new COVID-19 cases, 26 deaths

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Kurdistan Region on Saturday announced 860 new cases of the novel coronavirus and 26 deaths.

The Region’s health ministry said it had recorded 330 cases in Erbil, 109 in Sulaimani, 28 in Garmian, 383 in Duhok and 10 more in Halabja.

The ministry further said it had registered four new deaths in Erbil, six in Sulaimani, two in Raparin, 11 in Duhok and three in Halabja.

As many as 454 more patients had recovered from COVID-19 in the previous 24 hours, the ministry added.

The Region’s total number of coronavirus reached 68,044, of which 2,289 died and 39,661 recovered, according to the health ministry.
