Court ordered arrest of head of PUK office in Chamchamal: source

A court in Chamchamal issues an arrest warrant for the head of PUK office in Chamchamal

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — A Kurdistan Region’s court has issued an arrest warrant for the head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) office in Chamchamal, said a source on Wednesday.

A senior PUK source told Esta Media Network that the court in Chamchamal had ordered the arrest of Rebwar Jaf over “kidnapping a civilian”.

The arrest warrant was issued in accordance with Article 421 of the Iraqi penal code, said the source, who preferred to remain anonymous.

“The security forces are directed to hand him over to the law in shortest time,” the source added.

The source also denied rumors that an arrest warrant had been issued for Jaza Said Majid, who is in charge of PUK office in Sulaimani.
