SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Two ministers have boycotted meetings of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Council of Ministers, a source told Esta Media Network on Wednesday.

A source in the ministry of finance and economy said minister Awat Sheikh Janab and minister of state for negotiation affairs with the federal government Khalid Shwani had boycotted the meetings in the past two days.

“The ministers will boycott the weekly meeting of the Council of Ministers,” said the source, who spoke under condition of anonymity.

The Council of Ministers was scheduled to hold its weekly meeting on Wednesday, but it delayed the session.

The reason behind the boycott remained unclear.
