Iraqi forces seize five rockets in Kirkuk province: military

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Iraqi forces seized five rockets set to launch in Kirkuk province on Monday, according to security media cell.

Iraqi media security cell said the security forces had found “5 Grad rockets and launchers” in the village of Ahsar in the sub-district of Altun Kupri, north of Kirkuk.

Photos released by the Iraqi military showed five rockets with the launchers. It is still unclear toward which direction they were prepared to be launched.

“The seized materials were dealt with by explosive experts,” the Iraqi military said in a tweet.
