Turkish warplanes bomb Bradost in Kurdistan Region

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Turkish fighter jets bombed two places in the Kurdistan Region’s area of Bradost on Thursday, Esta Media Network reporter said.

The reporter said Turkish warplanes bombed the village of Berkim and Snin highland in Bradost for an hour on Thursday morning.

A witness told Esta Media Network that the Turkish strikes were close to them but caused no casualties.

“The people’s life is at risk due to the unstable situation of the border crossing areas,” director of Sidakan sub-district Ihsan Chalabi said.

“Turkish army bombs the area by warplanes and helicopters due to suspected positions of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party,” he added.

Turkey intermittently carries out airstrikes and artillery shelling against suspected positions of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party on the Kurdistan Region’s border areas with Turkey and Iran.

Dozens of civilians have been killed and wounded in the Turkish strikes in northern Iraq.
