Lightning kills parents of six children in Kurdistan Region

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Lightning killed parents of six children in the Kurdistan Region’s district of Amedi on Saturday evening, according to their family.

A member of their family told Esta Media Network that a lightning strike hit the spouses, Kazim Khurshid and Bushra Mohammed, who were at their agricultural field in Amedi at 07:30 p.m. on Saturday.

“The two spouses were burned and died due to a lightning strike,” the family’s member said.

The two who were around 50 years have six children, according to their relative.

Their family also denied rumors that the two died in a Turkish airstrike in the area.
