Kurdistan Region records biggest daily rise in coronavirus

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Kurdistan Region recorded its biggest daily rise in COVID-19 cases on Monday with 409 infections, data by the health ministry showed.

In a statement, the ministry of health said it had registered 127 cases in Erbil, 112 in Sulaimani, 141 in Duhok, one in Halabja and 28 in Garmian.

The Region’s ministry of health added that four patients had died from the virus in the previous 24 hours, while 232 others had recovered.

The total number of coronavirus infections reached 113,104 in the Kurdistan Region, the ministry of health said, stating that 3,568 patients died and 105,683 recovered.
