Saudi military chief of general staff in Iraq for talks with officials

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Saudi Arabia’s Chief of General Staff Maj. Gen. Fayyad bin Hammad Al-Ruwaili arrived in Iraq on Tuesday morning on an unannounced visit.

Upon his arrival, the top Saudi military official met with Iraqi Defense Minister Juma Inad in Baghdad, according to Iraqi media.

Shafaq News reported that Ruwaili’s visit was at the request of the Iraqi army chief of staff.
