Kurdistan Region announces 793 new COVID-19 cases, 30 deaths

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Kurdistan Region on Tuesday announced 793 new coronavirus cases and 30 deaths, the ministry of health said.

The Region’s ministry of health said in a statement that it had recorded 297 cases in Erbil, 111 in Sulaimani, 28 in Garmian, 330 in Duhok and 27 in Halabja.

The ministry further said it had registered four new deaths in Erbil, 12 in Sulaimani, one in Garmian, six in Raparin and seven more in Duhok.

As many as 368 more patients had recovered from COVID-19 in the previous 24 hours, the health ministry added.

The Kurdistan Region’s total number of infections reached 51,870 cases, of which 1,877 died and 32,746 recovered, according to the Region’s ministry of health.
