Shots fired at KDP office in Sulaimani

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Shots were fired at the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) office in Sulaimani city early on Saturday, according to the KDP-affiliated media.

KDP media reported that nearly 20 bullets were fired from a vehicle at the office in Azadi neighborhood at 06:13 a.m. on Saturday.

There were no casualties in the shooting, the KDP media said.

So far, Asayish (security) and the directorate of police in Sulaimani have not confirmed the incident.

Party offices are a common target for potshot attacks in the Kurdistan Region.
