SULAIMANI (ESTA) — A delegation from the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) met with Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) officials in Erbil on Thursday.

Esta’s reporter in Erbil Ayub Ali said the KDP delegation visited PUK Politburo headquarters in Erbil to discuss ties between both parties.

Officials from both parties discussed early parliamentary elections scheduled for June 6 as well as the latest developments in the Kurdistan Region, the reporter added.

The KDP delegation is expected to visit Change Movement (Gorran) in the Region’s capital.

It has already met with officials from the Kurdistan Islamic Union and Communist Party of Kurdistan in the past two days.

Member of KDP Leadership Ali Hussein said the delegation’s visit was to “exchange views about the elections in Iraq and other issues in the Kurdistan Region.” A KDP-affiliate news outlet reported.
