SULAIMANI – (ESTA) Bafel Jalal Talabani، the president of Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) met with Fayeq Zedan، the head of the Iraqi Supreme Judicial Council، in Baghdad.
In the meeting, PUK president reaffirmed his support for the independence of the Iraqi judiciary and expressed his appreciation for the role of Fayeq Zedan, who has served to achieve the highest goals and protect the constitution and said, “We are violating the sovereignty and independence of the Iraqi Supreme Judiciary and its president.”
In the meeting, Fayeq Zedan, the head of the Iraqi Supreme Judicial Council, expressed his gratitude to President Talabani and the PUK and described their support as an opportunity and further encouragement to protect the independence of the judiciary in Iraq the mechanisms of developing and improving the scientific and legal capacity of judges and members of the prosecutor general in the Presidency of the Court of Appeal of Sulaimani and Garmian.
In another part of the meeting, emphasis was placed on the continuation of national dialogue and constitutional solution of all issues in such a way that the rights of all parties within the framework of the judiciary are protected.
