SULAIMANI – (ESTA) Bafel Jalal Talabani، the president of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK)، met with Major General Joel B. Vowell، Commander-in-Chief of the Coalition Forces، in Baghdad.
The meeting discussed the security situation and the threat of terrorism in Iraq and the region and emphasized the expansion of coordination and joint work between the Peshmerga forces، Iraq، and the coalition in order to face security challenges and maintain stability in the region.
The PUK president pointed out the importance and continuity of coordination as a major factor in maintaining peace in the region and said، “The situation in the region requires relations to continue within the framework of the law and protect public interests and bring everyone together to fight terrorism and its threats to cooperate and coordinate.”.
