“More than 100,000 tourists have arrived in Sulaimani for the Eid al-Fitr” the Sulaimani Tourism spokesman said.
Aram Shuani, Sulaimani Tourism spokesman, said that, “more than 100,000 tourists came to Sulaimani in the past five days, mostly from central and southern Iraq, followed by tourists from East of Kurdistan and other cities in the Kurdistan Region”.
He added that “the arrival of tourists continues and we will publish the total statistics of tourist arrivals in the next five days”.
“The plans went well during the holidays, all accommodations were open and we had no problems, some restaurants were open, we were able to become a good source of income for citizens and traders and the market was well moved,” he said.
