Iraq responds to US attacks

SULAIMANI – (ESTA) The Iraqi National Security Advisor has spoken out against US attacks on several Hashdi Shaabi headquarters.

Iraqi National Security Advisor Qassim al-Araaji said, “The targeting of Hashdi Shaabi forces in Qaim, Jarf, and Sakhr is an aggression and violation of Iraqi security and does not serve to calm the situation.”.

“The United States should put pressure on Gaza to stop the fighting instead of bombing the headquarters of Iraqi national institutions.” He spoke.

Meanwhile, CENTCOM announced, “In response to attacks by the Iranian-backed militia group Kataib Hezbollah (KH), including the attack on al-Asad Airbase in western Iraq on Jan. 20, on Jan. 24 at 12:15 a.m. (Iraq time), U.S. CENTCOM forces conducted unilateral airstrikes against three facilities used by the Iranian-backed Kataib Hezbollah militia group and other Iran-affiliated groups in Iraq.”.
