The first hackathon of the SmartSuli platform began in Sulaimani

SULAIMANI – (ESTA) Qubad Talabani, the deputy prime minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), has opened the inaugural hackathon on the SmartSuli platform.

Several comments and suggestions were made for the development of the private sector, data, information, and enrichment of the SmartSuli platform during a meeting of the SmartSuli city solutions hackathon, which was held in Sulaimani with the attendance of numerous technology experts, experts, and health managers from Sulaimani. This was the first activity dedicated to finding solutions to the issues facing the Sulaimani health system.

Following Dr. Abdulfattah Hama Rahim Hawrami’s explanation of the system’s difficulties, the participants were split up into different groups and given ten days to submit their ideas for resolving Sulaimani’s health sector’s issues, which would then be presented at an international conference.

The Deputy Prime Minister’s latest initiative, the SmartSuli Platform, aims to better serve inhabitants in Kurdistan and Iraq by bringing together professionals and citizens to solve urban problems. The platform utilizes smart data and technology as well as collaborative problem-solving techniques.
