Number of ‘wanted’ terrorists were arrested by CTG – statement

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Kurdistan Region’s Counter-Terrorism Group (CTG) on Friday announced the arrest of a number of “wanted” terrorists. 

The General Directorate of the CTG announced that it arrested five wanted terrorists, it said in a statement without elaboration on the date or location.

The CTG’s arrest operation was carried out in coordination with the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency / Falcon Intelligence Cell, according to the statement.

It further stated that the attested terrorists were wanted under article 4 of the Terrorism Act in the Iraqi penal code.

Moreover, the arrested “terrorists” were later handed over to the legal authorities for necessary action, the statement added.
