The Kurdistan Region’s Tutaqal village was bombed

SULAIMANI – (ESTA) The governor of Chamchamal said that the border of Tutaqal village in Aghjaler district from Kurdistan region has been bombed three times since this morning.

“Today at 6:00, 7:00 to 7:30 and 10:00 am, drones attacked the village of Tutaqal in Aghjaler district,” Chamchamal district governor, Ramk Ramazan told Esta Media Network.

“We have instructed security forces and medical teams to go to the incident site, but they could not go because of the continuous flight of drones,” added the official.

Furthermore, he said, “It is obvious to everyone that the drones belong to Turkey, but we cannot formally state which side the drones belong to because we lack the authority to investigate the drones from the air.”

Tutaqal village in Kurdistan region was a thriving community with residents until two years ago, but it has now been evacuated owing to Turkish army bombs, and no residents live there.

The governor of Chamchamal has urged the Iraqi government to put an end to the attacks, which he says violate Iraq’s territorial sovereignty.
