Arbat camp was closed after the whole family returned to their hometown

SULAIMANI – (ESTA) A member of the Immigration and Refugee Committee said, “Arbat refugee camp has been closed and the last convoy with 170 families have returned to Salahaddin”.

Soran Omar, a member of the Immigration and Refugee Committee of the Iraqi Parliament, said, “The Arbat refugee camp has been closed and the last convoy of 170 families has returned to Salahaddin were displaced from the camp since 2014.”

“According to the Iraqi government’s decision, all refugee camps must be closed next year, in exchange for each family will be paid 5 million dinars” he said.

Also, he added, “Now only Ashti camp in Arbat and Tazade camp in Garmian remain in this area, where about 1,600 families live there”.
