SULAIMANI – (ESTA) The PUK president delivered a message at the Kirkuk is our might and determination’s carnival and called on the citizens of Kirkuk to “give us strength in this election and leave the fight to us.”
“Today, the future of Kirkuk is in your hands, you will decide who will be the governor of Kirkuk, today is the day we tell them that no one can betray our sons and daughters” Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) president, Bafel Jalal Talabani said at the carnival.
He also added that, “You are aware that I may be stern at times, but I will follow through on my promises to educate them the appropriate way to administer Kirkuk under Mam Jalal’s philosophy rather than this repugnant chauvinist one.”.
About candidates’ role in the future PUK president said, “These are candidates of the PUK, but before they are Kurdish candidates, they have promised to serve the Kurds, to serve you and to serve all classes”.
In another part of his statement, Bafel Talabani added, “Mam Jalal said that we will not occupy anyone’s territory, but we will not accept anyone to occupy our territory” also he urged everyone to vote, stating, “Go to the polls, make the ballot boxes green, make Kirkuk green, Let’s change the situation in this vote.”
