Iraq Urges International Community to Protect Palestinian Rights Amid Ongoing Fighting

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Iraq on Saturday made an appeal to the international community to protect the rights of the Palestinians amid the ongoing fighting with Israel.

President Latif Rashid has emphasized Iraq’s unwavering stance on the Palestinian issue, expressing complete support for the Palestinian people in pursuing their rights and condemning the attacks against them, according to a statement released by the Presidency office.

“We hereby reiterate Iraq’s steadfast position on the Palestinian issue, which unequivocally demonstrates our complete support for the Palestinian people in their pursuit of their rightful and legitimate rights,” Rashid stated, according to the statement.

He also called on the international community to fulfill its legal and moral obligations to ensure justice and safeguard the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

“We condemn the heinous acts of aggression perpetrated against the Palestinian people,” he said “We implore the international community to fulfill its legal and moral obligations in order to attain justice and ensure the legitimate rights of the Palestinian population,” he added.
