U.N. special envoy to Iraq visits Iran, meets Foreign Minister

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Iranian stated media reported that U.N. special envoy to Iraq Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert is set to embark on a visit to Teheran on Sunday.

During her visit, Plasschaert is also leading a delegation from the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI), according to the Iranian state media.

She is scheduled to engage in meetings and exchange views with several officials in the country, including Foreign Minister Hussein Amir-Abdollahian, the report said.
