SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) President Bafel Talabani on Sunday received politician and the former Prime Minister of Iraq, Adil Abdul Mahdi.
The pair discussed the latest political changes and stressed enduring the national efforts “for the sake of preserving stability and further serving the people,” the readout of the meeting released by Talabani’s office read.
In the meantime, PUK’s Talabani pointed out his party’s efforts for cooperation and practical steps to improve the country, according to the readout.
“Our policy is clear and our goal is to serve,” Talabani said.
“From the beginning, we were endeavoring to resolve the issues and sought the constitution to be the basis of resolving the issues,” he added.
He further stated that “Cooperation and joint work are key factors to build a future that deserves our resilient nation.”
