SULAIMANI (ESTA) — At least three suspects were detained following an operation launched by the Kurdish and Iraqi Counter-Terrorism units, according to a statement on Monday.
The Kurdistan Region’s Counter-Terrorism Group (CTG) and the Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service (ICTS) carried out an operation in the Garmian and Hamrin borders.
The operation was conducted in collaboration with the Global Coalition forces, a statement released by the CTG read.
“Three suspects on terror-related charges were detained as a result in three different locations,” the statement said.
“They were handed to the law for prosecutions,” the statement added.
