Turkish President, Iraqi Prime Minister discuss bilateral relations

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan and Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Sudani on Friday held a phone conversation, according to a statement.

During the call, the two sides highlighted the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them, Sudani’s office said in a statement.

It added that Sudani stressed Iraq’s keenness to build regional and international partnerships “that contribute to the national economic development of brotherly and friendly countries and consolidate security and stability in the region.”

In the meantime, “President Erdogan expressed his country’s direction towards expanding cooperation with Iraq, stressing the readiness of Turkey and Turkish companies to work in the development path project,” according to the statement.
