SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani has removed several senior security officials from office, according to a statement on Wednesday.
“The Prime Minister who is also the commander-in-chief of the Iraqi armed forces has removed several senior officials from office,” a statement released by Sudani’s office read.
The changes have been made as below:
The Chief of the national security agency, Hamid Shatri, has been succeeded by Ahmed al-Tayar.
Falih Eisawi who was the deputy of national security was succeeded by Muthana Eubaidi.
In the meantime, the chief of intelligence was removed, and Hamid Shatri, as well as Majid Delemi appointed as national security advisors.
