Twenty infrastructure projects began construction in Kurdistan, says Deputy Premier’s office

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Twenty infrastructure projects began construction in the Kurdistan Region as a result of the Deputy Prime Minister’s efforts, according to a statement on Tuesday.

“Last June, Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani carried out a spate of meetings with local office holders of the Raparain district,” a statement released by Talabani’s office read.

“As a result, constructions began in more than Twenty infrastructure projects,” the statement said.

In the meantime, “priority has been given to those projects which provide a great number of job opportunities, as well as foster the area’s economy and trade trafficking.”

“Dozens of critical infrastructure projects are set to begin working in the Garmian administration as well after the Deputy Prime Minister had similar scenes with officials there,” the statement added.

It further added that “During the previous year, thirty-nine investment projects launched in Sulaimani as the result of orders made by the Deputy Prime Minister.”
