SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Iraq is set to increase its flights with Georgia amid an uptick in tourist demand to visit the country, according to a statement on Friday.

The Iraqi National Flag Carrier Airlines (Iraqi Airways) said in a statement it decided to increase flights to Georgia’s Tbilisi international airport.

The decision comes as the number of Iraqi tourists who seeks to travel to Georgia has hit a record high this year.

Iraqi Airways flights to Georgia are underway at Baghdad, Erbil, and Basra international airports.

“The decision to increase Iraq-Georgia flights will be taken into effect on July 20,” the statement said.
