Man kills his 20-year-old wife in Erbil – reporter

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — A 20-year-old woman was killed by her husband with gunshots in Erbil over an alleged social issue, according to Esta Media Network reporter on Tuesday.

Earlier last night, a man attacked the house of his father-in-law, killing his wife and seriously injuring his 16-year-old sister-in-law with gunshots, the reporter said, citing the victim’s family as saying.

The suspect has shot his wife 16 times with an AK-47 weapon. He worked as a gun dealer but was not authorized by the law, the victim’s father told reporters in a press conference.

“My daughter and the killer were recently married, four months ago,” He said.

Esta Media Network has learned that the man has been arrested by the police following the incident, but the victim’s father stated that the suspect was accompanied by two others whose not yet known whether they are arrested or not.

“He killed my daughter with an unlicensed weapon.”
