Iraqi Parliamentary Speaker, Speaker of Turkish National Assembly hold phone conversation

During the phone call, the two officials highlighted strengthening Turkey-Iraq ties for the benefit of the two friendly neighboring peoples, according to the statement.

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Iraqi Parliamentary Speaker Mohammed Al-Halbousi held a phone conversation with the Speaker of the Turkish National Assembly, Numan Kurtulmus, on Friday, and highlighted strengthening the bilateral ties.

They discussed the importance of cooperation and the continuous development of relations between the two countries, a statement released Halbousi’s office read.

They also talked about strengthening the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two parliaments, and joint work for the benefit of the two friendly neighboring peoples, according to the statement.

In the meantime, Halbousi congratulated Kurtulmus on the occasion of his election as Speaker of the Turkish National Assembly and all members of the Council “who won the elections, and the Turkish people on the success of the democratic electoral process.”
