SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) President Bafel Talabani reiterated his support for the Kurdistan Region’s protection and information/information agency to defend Kurdistan.
Earlier on Friday, the PUK President along with the Head of the Mam Jalal Secretariat office, Qubad Talabani, met with the information agency director, Jalal Sheikh Naji, in Sulaimani City, according to a press release.
It added that during the meeting, the latest security developments, as well as efforts to maintain tranquillity and the people’s lives were discussed.
In the meantime, the intelligence official showcased the duties and new strategies of the information agency.
The PUK President also affirmed that the information agency is on the “right path” currently, working to protect the national interests.
“The information agency is making steps on the right path,” the President said, according to the press release. “It continues to track President Mam Jalal’s footsteps.”
He further expressed gratitude that the sole objective of the information agency is protecting Kurdistan, and far from gaining personal interest.
