KRG reaffirms commitment to Erbil-Baghdad deal on oil export

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) on Monday discussed restructuring public finances and the recent Erbil-Baghdad deal on oil export in a meeting under the auspices of the Prime Minister and his Deputy. 

KRG revealed in a statement that both Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and his Deputy Qubad Talabani co-chaired an ordinary meeting of the KRG.

The meeting also highlighted restructuring public finances of the Kurdistan Region, including the recent deal that the KRG signed with Baghdad regarding Kurdish crude exports, and reaffirmed its commitment.

The KRG called on the Federal government to commit to implementing the deals, safeguarding the Kurdistan Region’s financial entitlements and rights, according to the statement.
