SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) politburo on Saturday stressed maintaining unity within the Kurdish house amidst an ordinary meeting that it had held on Saturday.
The PUK politburo carried out a meeting in Sulaimani’s Dabashan area which was chaired by the party President, Bafel Talabani, a press release said.
It added that the politburo extended its greeting upon the return of Talabani who recently returned to Sulaimani from a trip abroad for medical purposes.
It also noted they discussed the political situation of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, stressing maintaining unity with the Kurdish house and proceeding with the political process to improve people’s lives and develop democracy.
In the meantime, the PUK politburo expressed happiness as a result of the positive atmosphere that has lately emerged in the Kurdistan Region, including the parties and our nation’s friends’ enthusiasm to establish national unity, according to the press release.
They hoped governance and succeeding the reform process witness considerable developments, the press release concluded.
