SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) President Bafel Talabani on Tuesday reiterated that there are no other ways to address the internal disagreements except for dialogue.
Earlier today, Talabani received the French Consul General to the Kurdistan Region Olivier Decottiginies, in Sulaimani City, his press office announced.
It added that in a meeting, the pair discussed the Kurdistan Region political situation and the forthcoming parliamentary election.
“There are no other ways to address the Kurdistan Region’s internal disagreements except for dialogue and understanding,” Talabani said.
“We should all find appropriate national mechanisms to address the problems, and be adherent to compromise and unity,” He added. “This the national step that leads us to peace and stability.”
In the meantime, the two sides also stressed bolstering the bilateral ties and expanding the coordination to achieve high interests by serving the public.
