SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Kurdistan Region Security Service (Asayish) on Wednesday announced the arrest of three drug dealers in Sulaimani and Kifri.
“As a result of obtaining information to arrest drug dealers and users, for the sake of Kurdistan’s tranquility and prevention of the spread of any narcotic drugs that damage society, economy, and country our forces were able to arrest three suspects charged with drug offenses,” it said.
The suspects are charged with drug dealing. They were arrested following two separate operations that were carried out by (Asayish) forces in the city of Sulaimani and Kifri, according to the Region Security Service.
It also stated that the suspects are currently held in Asayish custody, noting, the investigations are still underway.
