SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Iraq signed a deal with Pakistan to purchase military techs and equipment, including 12 Pakistan-made “Super Mushshak” aircraft, said a spokesperson.
“We have made a deal with the Pakistani government to purchase 12 Super Mushshak aircraft,” the spokesperson for the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed forces, Yahya Rasool, told Esta Media Network on Wednesday.
“The Super Mushshak aircraft are specific for air force academy students and training so that they would be prepared to use fighter jets,” He added.
Rasool also stressed that “Pakistan is an advanced country in terms of nuclear and military industry,” noting, “The aircraft we import are of excellent quality.”
“We will take advantage of Pakistan’s military capabilities and technology.”
Super Mushshak or PAC MFI-17 Mushshak is produced by Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC), which is a lightweight, two/three-seat, single-engine, predominantly metal aircraft with fixed, non-retractable tricycle landing gear.
It can also operate from short, unprepared runways.
