SULAIMANI (ESTA) — British Consul General Rosy Cave on Monday said “delighted” over the meeting that took place between Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and his Deputy Qubad Talabani earlier today.
“I’m delighted to see that the Prime Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister met today – an important first step in making progress on key issues through constructive dialogue,” She said in a statement.
“A united Kurdistan Regional Government is in the interests of all the people of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq,” she added.
“I hope this is the beginning of an agreed process of reconciliation and collaboration that allows the government to function effectively and deliver for the whole region.”
Earlier today Prime Minister Barzani received his Deputy Talabani in the city of Erbil, where they stressed maintaining unity in Kurdistan.

In a meeting, Prime Minister Barzani and his Deputy Talabani highlighted the fiscal and administrative problems before the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), according to a press release.
They also agreed to resolve all disputes through dialogue with the cooperation of the entire ministerial blocs within the KRG, the press releases said.
It further added the two officials discussed the latest political situation of the Kurdistan Region and the area, and stressed maintaining unity and internal harmony, to preserve the national interests and constitutional rights of the Kurdish people.
