SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Kurdistan Region Security Service on Sunday announced that it had arrested two suspects charged with drug trafficking and seized large amounts of illicit drugs.
The Region Security Service (Asayish) forces arrested two suspects over drug charges and among whom one of them was a female, according to a statement.
It added that Asayish seized as many as 24.195 kilograms of various narcotic drugs which belonged to the suspects and were prepared to be trafficked.
“18.5 KG of methamphetamine, 4.5 KG of opium, 1 KG of Heroin, and 0.195 KG of Jamaican weed were seized by the security forces,” the statement said.
The suspects have been sent to Asayish custody while the investigations are still underway.
