SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) President Bafel Talabani in a statement on Wednesday congratulated all Muslims across the globe, especially in Kurdistan on the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan.
“I extend my warmest congratulations to Muslims in Kurdistan, Iraq, and the world on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, hoping that god accepts everyone’s prayers,” he said.
Talabani also hoped Ramadan month brings peace, happiness, and stability to our beloved Kurdistan, according to the statement.
“I hope that we will work together with a Kurdish and national faith for the stability of Kurdistan, building a brighter future,” he added.
In the meantime, Kurdistan Region Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani stated that on the occasion of Ramadan “We should be inspired by the meanings of tranquility, self-refrain, fraternity, and obligation,” he said in a separate statement.
Moreover, the Deputy Prime Minister hoped an atmosphere full of joy, peace, and harmony restored to Kurdistan during the month.
